CROCODILE CLUB CONSTITUTION

  1. The name of the Club shall be the "Crocodile Club" hereinafter referred to as the Club.
  2. The purpose of the Club shall be to foster social contact between past and present members of Imperial College Radio, and people who have contributed in a positive manner to Imperial College Radio.
  3. There shall be two classes of membership:-
    1. Ordinary Membership, open to past and present members of Imperial College Radio at least two Imperial College terms after first joining Imperial College Radio.
    2. Honourary Membership,open to anyone who is ineligible for ordinary membership
    In addition the Imperial College Radio Station Manager shall be a member while they hold office.
  4. Membership of the Club shall be by payment of a life membership fee to the Secretary.
  5. At least two Club events each Imperial College Academic year shall be open to full members of Imperial College Radio.
  6. The Officers of the Club are:-
    1. The Chairman, who will be responsible for the day to day running of the Club and for chairing meetings.
    2. The Secretary, who will be responsible for the administration of the Club.
    3. The Trustee, who will be responsible for the Club finances.
    4. The Reggie Editor, who will be responsible for producing an annual handbook, during the Imperial College Autumn Term.
    5. Two Ordinary Members, who will be responsible for such duties as the Club may from time to time require.
  7. The Annual General Meeting will be held during the Imperial College summer term. A General Meeting will be held on receipt by the Secretary of an application signed! by at least ten members.
  8. New Officers should take up their posts on April 1st or at the Annual General Meeting whichever is the later.
  9. The Secretary must attempt to inform the membership of General Meetings at least two weeks in advance. The date of the Annual General Meeting shall be advertised in "Reggie"
  10. Elections for the Officers shall be at the Annual General Meeting. With the exception of Trustee, Officers should not normally hold the same post in successive years.
  11. Elections for posts vacated when Officers resign shall be held the next General Meeting.
  12. The elections for the Officers of the Club shall be conducted in accordance with the Imperial College Union STV system. Nominations for the posts will be taken at the meeting. Members standing must have a proposer and a seconder, both ordinary members of the Club.
  13. Elections for Honourary members will held at every General Meeting. Candidates require one proposer and one seconder, both ordinary members of the Club. Candidates will be deemed elected if they receive over one-half of the votes cast. Voting shall be based solely on the candidate's contribution to Imperial College Radio.
  14. In addition to General Meetings, the Officers of the Club, togetherwith the Imperial College Radio Station Manager, shall meet at leastonce each Imperial College Term as a management committee.
  15. Changes to this constitution require a two thirds majority at twoconsecutive General Meetings at least three weeks apart.
  16. Where this constitution is unclear the interpretation of it shall be at the General Meeting.
